You may have heard about MediaNews’ new “print your own paper” experiment. But how will they sell it to the too-busy-to-read working crowd? It’s got the portability of paper, true. But these people claim to not have time to read at home to begin with. Mobile devices are already portable by definition and these busy people use them to read. You’re basically asking them to read everything twice: Once to choose what they want, another to actually “read” it, plus the time of printing and figuring out the kinks of that process. I don’t know if people will be motivated enough to go through all those steps.
